Last week, I was given the honor of giving a keynote presentation on Multidimensional Security in a time of Covid-19 for the III Conferencia Anual de Seguridad y Defensa.
I would like to congratulate my friends at the National Center for Executive Studies of Peru for organizing a wonderful virtual conference in the most difficult of circumstances. Peru has been hard hit by COVID, political turmoil and an economic recession.
It was a pleasure to be part of this professional effort to support the new Defense Minister of Peru and all of the hard work of the conference organizers. I was the closing presenter so as they say, “it had probably all been said before, just not by everybody”. Hopefully they will invite me back!
Me gustaría felicitar a mis amigos del Centro Altos Estudios Nacional (CAEN) del Perú por organizar una maravillosa conferencia virtual en las circunstancias más difíciles. Perú se ha visto muy afectado por COVID, la agitación política y una recesión económica.
Fue un placer ser parte de este esfuerzo profesional para apoyar al nuevo Ministro de Defensa del Perú y todo el arduo trabajo de los organizadores de la conferencia. Yo fui el presentador de clausura, así que como dicen, “probablemente ya se había dicho todo antes, pero no por todos”. ¡Ojalá me inviten a volver!
